DiamondBack Golf Club at Woodland Valley

Diamondback Golf Club at Woodland Valley is an absolute “hidden gem” of a golf course along the north strand.  Located just west of North Myrtle Beach on Hwy 9 in the quiet community of Loris, South Carolina, Diamondback is a golf course with an wonderful layout and atmosphere that gives golfers a warm southern reception from the moment they step on the property.

Visiting golfers really need to look into this modern Russell Breeden design and make sure it gets on the “must play” list while staying in the area.  The location makes it an idea place to play a round of golf on the way into the beach or on the way home.  Not only is it an enjoyable place to play but golfers will be surprised at how affordable it is to play Diamondback.

That management and staff have set a standard of customer service that is second to none along the Grand Strand.  General Manager Patrick Wilkenson and his golf shop crew greet golfers with a friendly greeting and a fun attitude that makes the golfers feel relaxed and excited that they chose Diamondback for their round of golf that day.  The Snake Pit Grille and Bar provides a comfortable place to get some food and drink either before or after the round.  The warm, living room type feel to the sitting area is a great place to hang out.

The golf course provides a fun and interesting challenge that is a bit different than the typical Myrtle Beach golf course experience.  The par 72 design winds through trees, lakes and natural grasses that surround the Woodland Valley development.  Probably the best part of the design is the fact that each hole feels like its own oasis of golf.  Although there are beautiful homes all around the golf course, they really cannot be seen from the course for the most part.  A huge reason that Diamondback needs to be on the must play list for golfers this when visiting the Myrtle Beach area.
