LOVINGSTON, Va. — The biggest week on the long drive calendar is here. More than 150 athletes from eight countries are headed to Wood Ridge Farm in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains for the 2026 Ultimate Long Drive (ULD) World Championship, where world titles will be decided across divisions for hitters from 7 and under to 75 and older.
Every one of them earned the trip. After a full season of league play, league championships, the ULD National and Tour events, the field arrives for four days of competition that closes Saturday night under the lights.
A new home for Worlds
Now in its 10th season, ULD is moving its banner event to Wood Ridge Farm after three years at Par Tee Golf Center in Cayce, South Carolina. The 300-acre farm in Nelson County sits in the foothills of the Blue Ridge, with open meadows, mountain views and an on-site brewery, giving the world’s longest hitters plenty of room and a dramatic backdrop to swing for the fences.
The week at a glance
Wednesday, September 30 — Senior World Championship. The 60, 65, 70 and 75 divisions open the week.
Thursday, October 1 — Masters World Championship. The 40, 45, 50 and 55 divisions compete for their world titles.
Friday, October 2 — Cutdown day. The 35 and Open divisions battle to earn a spot in Saturday’s finals.
Saturday, October 3 — Finals day. The last day starts with the Youth World Championship (7U, 9U and 11U), followed by the Junior World Championship (13U, 15U and 17U). The Adaptive World Championship, the Valor World Championship, and the 35 and Open finals all wrap up Saturday night under the lights.
Long drive for everyone
What sets the ULD World Championship apart is who gets to compete for a title. With divisions spanning youth, juniors, Open, 35-and-over, Masters, Seniors, Adaptive and Valor athletes, it’s a world championship built for golfers of all ages and abilities, not just the pros who hit it 400 yards on TV.
Whether it’s a 7-year-old chasing a youth title or a 75-year-old proving they can still move it, every champion crowned this week will have earned it the hard way, through a full season of qualifying.
