Glen Dornoch Golf Course
Glen Dornoch Golf Course is an award-winning gem on the north end of the Grand Strand.**Myrtle Beach’s Most Spectacular Golf Course** **”Named among the Best 30 Courses You Can Play in South Carolina” SC Golf Rating Panel, April 2009** **”Named among the Top 22 Courses in South Carolina” Golf World, October 2008** **”Top 20 Course in South Carolina, Top 10 in Myrtle Beach” Golf Magazine, September 2008** **”Top Ten Course in South Carolina” Zagat’s 2008 America’s Top Golf Courses** “Top 50 Courses for Women” Golf Digest 1999 “Best New Public Course in America” 1996 Golf Digest nominee Master architect Clyde Johnston’s creation, Glen Dornoch Golf Course, welcomed its first players in September of 1996. The 270-acre site is blessed with a dense stand of oaks, pines, and magnolias. Coastal golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area are usually rather flat but this site has several natural 35-foot elevation changes, which slope down to South Carolina’s most beautiful stretch of the Intracoastal Waterway. With respect for the land, the golf course was built one hole at a time. At Myrtle Beach’s Glen Dornoch, each hole flows with the natural terrain of lakes, live oaks, and spectacular marsh and river views. The three closing holes are the most talked about in Myrtle Beach. If you’ve ever dreamed of playing one of the world’s truly great courses…. that dream can now be a reality.
