Jimmy Biggs, PGA Head Golf Professional, welcomes host of Tee It UP Grand Strand, Shan Coughlin, out to the course in Calabash North Carolina for the November update of Play Crow Creek Golf Club. As you can see from the video, it is a gorgeous November 75 degree sunny day. Listen as Jimmy gives the update on course conditions and the holiday specials coming up. One you won’t want to miss is their Golf Game Tune Up special you can get for yourself or for someone else as a gift. Between now and Christmas Eve, you can purchase the package that includes a one hour golf lesson, lunch and a round of golf all for $50. It’s crazy since golf at Crow Creek is normally more than that, but last year, many people asked for a grouped together package around that price point so what does the accommodating staff at Crow Creek do….oblige. You can get more information on that and many other winter specials by call the golf shop or emailing them direct from their website by clicking their banner on the right of this page.
As for course conditions, the bent grass greens are loving the cooler weather of the mornings and mid 70’s during the day. Even with record breaking rainfall, the course has drained remarkable well including those much talked about renovated sand bunkers. Shan and Jimmy are standing with the green from the #4 hole in the background. This shorter par 4 has a trickier approach shot with the infamous bulkhead green that you see in many of the pictures of Crow Creek. You can see how well the balls are rolling on the green and how lush and smooth it looks.
Shan asks Jimmy to highlight some of the differences golfer will see at Crow Creek versus the other courses in the area. He tells Shan that Crow Creek offers a very friendly staff, well organized set up so you aren’t wondering where to go and what to do, and a great restaurant in addition to the immaculate golf course. He also jokes that in addition to the bent grass greens, rare for this area, they have more fairway acreage than any other course on the Grand Strand. If you don’t hit most of these fairways, you may want to consider a different sport – just kidding.
Crow Creek Golf Club is also part of the Platinum Golf Membership and East Coast Golf Management family. If you plan to come to the area for a week, come multiple times a year, winter here or live here, you will want to look at this membership. It offers discounted rates at 30+ courses and gives you a play 4, get the 5th for free membership benefit. They also host many member only events throughout the year. If you are coming down on a golf vacation just once this year, ask your golf package provider for the East Coast Golf Management PGA packages (Play Golf Again) of 4,5 and even 6 rounds. With each of those options, every golfer in your group will receive a gift card of $100, $150 or $200 depending on the number of rounds you play. It is the best package on the beach giving you choices of some of the best courses here.
Thank you for listening to this Play Crow Creek Golf Club November 2015 Update. We hope to see you in the fairways here along the Grand Strand in the Myrtle Beach South Carolina and Calabash North Carolina areas.
