Recently named to the Golf Digest Top 100 Public Golf Courses, Caledonia’s own Bob Seganti joins host Shan Coughlin on Tee It Up Grand Strand to talk golf, fishing, and much more. Each year when Golf Digest publishes the Top 100’s, courses wait to see if they will make the list and those top tier courses along the Grand Strand are no different. One of the best for sure is Caledonia, improving its position this year to number 73. Located in Pawleys Island South Carolina, Caledonia Golf and Fish Club epitomizes the low country charm the area is known for.
The drive into Caledonia is canopied by overhanging trees. The club house reminds you of a true Southern Gentleman’s estate sitting along the water and the course layout reminds you of why you fell in love the game to begin with. You will be treated like a valued member of an old established private club and provided the best in customer service and golf product available. Right across the street, True Blue Golf Club, Caledonia’s sister facility, has it’s own unique way of welcoming you to the course. You will note the low country similarities in structure and service, but once you tee off on number 1, the differences present themselves in grand form. The wide fairways to this very challenging course can be deceiving. Played together during your stay in the area, these courses will give you an experience you will be talking about for years to come.
