Since 1974 The Library Restaurant has been synonymous with Myrtle Beach fine dining. It is the oldest continuously operated fine dining restaurant along the Grand Strand. Current owner and renowned chef, Shad Velasco fulfilled a life-long dream when he purchased the restaurant in 2003.  Shad has maintained the Library’s classic dishes such as Steak Diane, Bananas Foster, and table-side Caesar Salad while adding his own flare and specialty dishes…such as the most amazing She-Crab Soup we’ve ever tasted.

The Library recently (fall 2017) relocated from the downtown area to the newly renovated location at 6613 North Kings Highway. With the move, they gained a bar area that now allows patrons to arrive early and stay afterward for some of the Library’s own specialty drinks. We tried….and recommend… them all. And by all means, don’t leave without a Library Coffee! Upscale and cozy best describe the Library experience. Great food, an exquisite wine selection, and exceptional service with attention to detail have bee the hallmark of the Library Restaurant for 44 years.  Reservations are preferred and can be made on their website at TheLibraryRestaurantSC.com.
