It is always fun to stop in and visit with our good friend Scott Taylor and the crew at River Oaks Golf Plantation. Today we hang out on the back deck of the clubhouse and catch up with Scotty.

River Oaks hosts a weekly event every Thursday evening that is as fun a time that can be had on a golf course. The 9-hole shootout has become a summertime staple in the Myrtle Beach golf community. This 4-person 9-hole scramble includes prizes, food and drink. Make sure to get your team signed up early each week. The field each week routinely reaches 144 golfers or more. Do not miss out on this fun event.
In addition to the weekly shootout, River Oaks plays host to many charity golf outings all year long. Scott and his staff provide first class service and support to local charities as well as a great golf course to play. The course is centrally located in Myrtle Beach, just over the Intercoastal Waterway bridge on highway 501. No excuse not to come out and support you local charities.
After the round is over golfers are treated to one of the best back decks in all of Myrtle Beach. Not just golf courses. The back deck of the clubhouse is as good as there is. It is a great place to have lunch or dinner after the round. Take time to enjoy a drink or two to relax after completing a round. Freshly grilled food is fare of the day in the deck. The smell of burgers or dogs and much much more will lead golfers to this oasis on the golf course.
