Golf Results Update on GolfRap

In this edition of GolfRap, hosts George Honeycutt and Hugh Royer III of the South Carolina Golf Center deliver the weekend’s golf results update beginning with The PGA Tour’s visit to Mexico at the El Camaleón Golf Club where Charley Hoffman rallied with a 66, 68, 67, 66 to claim the championship and take home $1,098,000. This is the last PGA Tour event on the calendar year schedule for 2014. This begins the holiday break for most of the pros as they begin to prepare for the next stage of the new wrap-around tour schedule in 2015. The broadcast team updates the standings and stats thus far and give their comments and approval of Ken Duke’s wardrobe. Huh?

Also on the agenda this morning was the LPGA results from Mexico as well. Christina Kim won at the Mexico Golf Club in Mexico City for the first time in 9 years at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational. It was an emotional win for Kim who has battled some serious demons over the past few years. Host, HR3 comments, “In my opinion, this is one of the best things that has happened for the LPGA in a long time.” The LPGA is headed to Naples, FL next week for their tour championship and the last tournament of the calendar year.

The European Tour, the Race for Dubai, and Ian Poulter’s recent play round out the conversation this morning. Be sure to tune in Thursdays for our TGD Today at the team previews the upcoming weekend. We have the Race for Dubai left to cover, then we’ll turn our attention to equipment updates, holiday gift ideas, and preparation for 2015 and we wind down 2014. Hey, The Masters is just around the corner! It’ll be here before we know it.
