Golf Talk Radio – Live and On-Demand

The Golf Director (TGD) delivers Golf Talk Radio – Live and On-Demand 24/7 on TGD Radio. TGD began streaming live radio in late December 2012 with a pilot show called Tee It Up Grand Strand. This show was designed to  provide golfers an up to date report on the happenings around Myrtle Beach golf. Host George Honeycutt covered course conditions, events, and interviewed PGA Professionals from various courses. The next show added was an equipment and tips show called Tech Talk. One of the first Tech Talk Shows was a detailed instruction on the importance of and how to regrip clubs. Tee It Up Grand Strand and Tech Talk immediately began attracting an audience, and to the surprise of producers, much of the listener activity originated internationally. The early global interest in Myrtle Beach golf was an eye-opener that prompted an acceleration of new programming.  TGD Radio found its stride during the 2013 Masters. During a program tabbed Cover of the Majors the  audience began (and continues) to grow. Network producers quickly realized the demand for more online golf content.

For TGD Radio’s network to be so readily found, the producers relied upon the expertise of (then) parent company Zeus Digital Marketing (ZDM).  ZDM’s aggressive online marketing program, that included posting articles and distributing press releases about TGD’s new network was immediately effective.

TGD Radio Programming

Programming on TGD radio is continually being expanded to include items of interest to their all-golf, global audience. The current show rotation includes:

Streaming Video

In the summer of 2014, TGD began streaming video during the live production of TGD Radio. Each program is streamed live as TGD Radio and TGD TV, then placed into a live replay loop. All programming is archived for listen and viewing on-demand at  httpss://radio.thegolfdirector.com and httpss://tv.thegolfdirector.com. Videos are also available on UStream TV, YouTube, and Vimeo with further distribution planned.

At the end of October 2014 The Golf Director was acquired from Zeus Digital Marketing by iNetGolf,LLC as part of iNetGolf’s global golf marketing initiative. The network will continue producing and distributing streaming golf talk radio and TV under the same TGD brand. TGD will develop new radio and TV products under iNetGolf with a goal of reaching 1000 hours of unique annual programming in 2015.

Today, all new programming is streamed live as video on The Myrtle Beach Golf Channel Facebook page
