As a recent new member to "the Golf director", I very much appreciate this platform and possible interaction specific to the Grand Strand golfing community.  I must express a viewpoint that immediately came to my mind; upon speaking with Jeff and browsing this site.

Having recently moved to the Grand Strand - although I have been golfing here for several years - when I visited the Strand, having any up-to-date course(s) knowledge whether condition, rates, packages etc.; would have eliminated several bad experiences of booking blind tee-times, paying the given rate and then being disappointed on the first tee.

As I have mentioned to Jeff, if each member were to reach out to 10 (ten) friends (via email link) with this site and each member post their experiences with area courses, knowledge of packages, knowledge of local area tournaments, festivals, "things to do"...then all who live outside our community but travel here to experience our unique way of life, can maybe make a more intelligent decision as to where to play, pay and enjoy.

I left a metropolitan market that has been hit hard by the economy and weather patterns.  For several years, I hosted radio/tv/internet host of Golf oriented shows.  Having interacted with hundreds to thousands of fellow golfers, when someone decides to take time and monies to play the game that we love - having any prior knowledge as to where to play or what's going on the the area - would greatly enhance their experience in the Grand Strand.  OUR GOLFING FRIENDS WOULD SAY THANKS.

I will be speaking with Jeff soon to discuss how "the Golf Director" can launch and grow.  This platform is unique and I believe beneficial for local and visiting golfers.
