farmstead2Jason Monahan from Farmstead Golf Links joins Host of Tee It Up Grand Strand, Shan Coughlin, for the Play Farmstead Golf Links June 2015 Update.  Summer golf is in full swing.  The rain has cleared from the spring with the benefit of that moisture causing the Bermuda grass to grow fast meaning the course is lush.  Farmstead is in event season with many tournaments coming up including the Battle of the Sexes tournament in July and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation fundraiser in August which is a well supported event.  Be sure to check the events calendar on their website www.farmsteadgolflinks.com for more information and to make sure the day you want to play is available.  Online is also where you will want to go to find the best deals on tee times including the great two play with their sister course Meadowlands Golf Course, just across the road, less than a mile away.

farmstead slider for pgmThe course is in great shape right now and is known for its hospitality.  The incredible 8000 square foot Georgian farmhouse style clubhouse is located just three miles from Highway 17, but in a very open, almost rural location allowing the focus to be on golf alone with no homes on the golf course.  It is truly a peaceful experience where you really don’t even see another hole from the one you are playing.   What you will notice is that you cross the border from South Carolina to North Carolina four times during your round.  One of these times takes place on the par 6, the only one in North and South Carolina and one of only six or seven in the country.  From the tee, you cannot see the green, just the clubhouse which is your aiming spot.

FarmsteadWith these features, you can see why Farmstead Golf Links should be included on your next golf vacation especially if you are coming on the PGA (Play Golf Again) 4, 5, or 6 package from East Coast Golf Management.   You can ask for it by name when you make your reservations through us here at TheGolfDirector.com or through your golf provider.  When you play four rounds on any of their 24 courses, each golfer receives a $100 gift card good at any of the courses on anything they sell including replays, food and beverage, or merchandise.  When you play 5 rounds, each golfer received $150 and new just this month, when you book 6 rounds, each golfer receives $200 they can spend on gifts for themselves or their loved ones back home.
