Chris Jones, Head Golf Professional from Colonial Charters Golf Club joins host of Tee It Up Grand Strand, Shan Coughlin, to give the Play Colonial Charters Golf Club June 2015 update. Colonial Charters is located just a couple of miles up Highway 9 from North Myrtle Beach in Longs South Carolina. This golf course has the reputation of being the “Locals Course” whether you are really a local or not. The atmosphere they have created is one Chris talks passionately about – fun and friendly. Chris says that he likes to continually remind people that it is not necessary about where you play but who you play with and Colonial Charters loves to see families and groups of friends not only playing golf but having fun and enjoying themselves before and after the round. Golf is supposed to be about fun and that is what this interview is all about.
This atmosphere of friendly fun is what inspired their specials in the afternoons like Wing Wednesday and Bingo Friday among other things. Something else you can look forward to at Colonial Charters that fosters this fun and friendly golf atmosphere is that even when they are at their busiest and all of the carts are out on the course, you will finish is about four hours without feeling beat up.
