General Manager, Jason Monahan talks to us this week about the great program they have put together with US Kids golf at Meadowlands Golf Club. Any golfers that play at Meadowlands can participate in this program.
The management and staff are raising money for junior golfers in the local area. Any guests playing Meadowlands have the opportunity to donate money to Junior Golf Club Program. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated. The membership and daily play golfers alike can help provide equipment for local junior golfers.
Each time the collection gets to $150, Meadowlands purchases a set of golf clubs from US Kids to give to a local junior golfer in need. That’s right. The course is providing golf clubs free of charge to golfers under the age of 16. There is also no charge for junior golfers to play the course when accompanied by a paying adult.

Meadowlands Golf Club is located on the North Carolina/South Carolina state line in Calabash, NC. It is just a short drive up the coast from Myrtle Beach. The golf course went through a tough stretch with weather late fall and into the winter.
In early June, the grasses on the golf course went through a tough transition that made the conditions a little rough to play on. It took the golf course and superintendent some time to repair the course. Now that it is back to the standard we all expect to see when playing. Meadowlands, the management and staff want to give back to the members.
To thank the members for being patient and supportive of the management and staff course has a new event.
“Nine and Wine” is the golf courses way of saying thank you to the annual membership at Meadowlands. It is a Wednesday evening outing that will start with a 3:00 PM shotgun start. This FREE event will include food and drink along with the 9-hole shotgun. It is a small token of appreciation from the golf course to the members.
