2016 Phoenix Waste Management Open

One of the most entertaining tournaments of the year, the 2016 Phoenix Waste Management Open did not disappoint. The stadium-styled number 16 par three is always a highlight of this tournament. It is one of the few times the PGA shows their fun side…if that’s not too much of a stretch. Perhaps that is a bit of a stretch, as gone are the caddy races formerly another highlight of this event.

How can the PGA not incorporate more tournaments like this in the schedule. “Growing the game”…and “making golf more fun” are often keyword phrases used when discussions about the future of golf arise.  Hideciki Matsuyama  wins in a playoff against Ricki Fowler to end this year’s 2016 Phoenix Waste Management Open.
