Caledonia Golf & Fish Club is one of the finest golf courses on the south end of the Grand Strand.  Built on the site of a former working southern rice plantation, Caledonia provides an atmosphere that is second to none for the golfer.

The entrance is lined with live oaks that are hundreds of years old.  Driving through this scenic drive leads to an antebellum-styled clubhouse.  The clubhouse itself is an experience.  Its fantastic views of the old rice fields and the amazing 18th hole provide a wonderful setting for a post round meal and drink.  It is so beautiful even non-golfers come to Caledonia to enjoy this amazing dining experience.

The 6,526-yard, par-70 course is routed around majestic oaks and meandering streams. Each hole has its very own style and beauty.  Golfers will feel as if they are transported back to the early 1900s as they play their way through Caledonia and all it has to offer.

It is the first solo design of golf course architect Mike Strantz.  The goal was to build a course that preserved as much of the land’s natural beauty as possible.  Anyone who has played Caledonia Golf & Fish Club will say “mission accomplished”.

The course opened in 1994 and certainly has received its share of critical acclaim.  Caledonia was most recently listed as No.27 on Golf Magazine’s list of “Top 100 Courses you can Play” back in 2014.  It also is ranked annually on the “America’s 100 Greatest Public courses” list by Golf Digest.

Bob Seganti, PGA director of golf operations and his staff take pride in providing an unforgettable experience for every guest that visits Caledonia.  The staff is among the friendliest and knowledgeable in all of South Carolina.  Many of them have worked at the course for years and would not trade their job in for the world.  That’s the kind of friendly, southern atmosphere golfers can expect from the minute they arrive at the course.

Be sure to make a stop in the pro shop.  After playing this fantastic golf course be sure to take home a hat or shirt or towel.  The staff in the shop will be more than happy to help select the perfect souvenir.  Caledonia Golf & Fish Club is an experience golfers will not soon forget.  A return trip will most definitely be on everyone’s mind.
