Caledonia Golf & Fish Club June 2016 Course Update

The Gilder boys (#BigD #ELI) went down to Pawleys Island, SC to the beautiful Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. We were on a mission to meet the PGA Director of Golf Operations, Bob Seganti. Bob had all the latest information about the Top 100 Golf Course in America.

As soon as the car turned on the live oak lined avenue, Eli knew we had arrived to a special place. “Whoa Dad!” He was very excited. We approached the clubhouse and Eli spotted “the soup guy.” Caledonia gives you a cup of complimentary chowder at the turn. This fascinates a 6 year old boy. Especially when he loves soup. Once we get out of the car, we are immediately greeted by the staff. They are excellent. The grab our video gear and take it to the clubhouse where we meet the PGA Director of Golf Operations, Bob Seganti.

We met Bob standing on the back porch of the clubhouse overlooking the 18th green. The breeze was nice and the scene is just fantastic with the 18th green and Caledonia Marsh in the background. The porch has rocking chairs for relaxing after the round. The restaurant and bar is also right there for your convenience. The bar is stocked with your favorite cocktails, as well as, a full selection of craft beers. The restaurant is very popular even with non-golfers. Locals come to Caledonia to eat at the restaurant without setting foot on the course. WoW! Make sure you try the Signature Shrimp Bisque. It’s famous.

Bob, a known golf enthusiast, updated us with all the latest information about Caledonia. As always, course conditions are superb. The Bermuda grass has fully come in from the winter and the entire golf course looks like carpet. It really looks like artificial turf. How do they do that? The summer also brings a bit of relief from the peak spring rates. Bob informed us that you can play Caledonia Golf & Fish Club for $69 including cart. There is also 2-play specials with their sister course, True Blue. Also, if you book your August golf right now, you can save $10 on your round.  Go to fishclub.com to book your tee time.

Caledonia Golf & Fish Club also offers wedding and event services. They have an outdoor tent that holds 300 people. The grounds are just full of photo opportunities for bridal parties. You can book your wedding or event at the same website you book tee times, fishclub.com.

Keep up with the latest information about Caledonia by following them on social media. The are very active on their Facebook and Twitter pages posting pictures and the latest course conditions. You can even book your tee time on Facebook. Yes, you read that correctly.

Caledonia Golf & Fish Club is a Top 100 Golf Course in America for a reason. It only take about 2 minutes to realize that when you arrive. The course condition is unmatched. The service is outstanding. The food is top notch. Go to fishclub.com for any information you may need. Make sure to follow Caledonia Golf & Fish Club on Facebook and Twitter.
