2016 Patriot Golf Day 100 Hole Challenge2016 Patriot Golf Day 100 Hole Challenge

A group of dedicated PGA Professionals known as The Myrtle Beach PGA Patriots have just released the details for their 2016 Patriot Golf Day 100 Hole Challenge. Two years ago they played 100 holes of golf and raised over $16,000 dollars for the Folds of Honor Foundation. Last year (2015) they played 200 holes and raised over $32000. For 2016 they have completely revamped their event to include a Gala on Friday night before Labor Day (September 2, 2016) at Crow Creek Golf Club, a scramble at The Pearl Golf course on Saturday, and the 100 Hole Challenge on Sunday at Rivers Edge Golf Club. You may have guessed it already….they hope to double their raise this year as well. The Folds Of Honor by way of Patriot golf Day will (always) be the beneficiary of this annual event.

The Gala Presented by Sticky Fingers

The Friday night Gala at Crow Creek Golf Club will begin with dinner at 6 PM. Those participating in the scramble, sponsors, and 100 hole participants and their guest are invited to the Gala. Parings and flight announcements for the scramble along with an introduction of the myrtle Beach PGA Patriots will open the event. Guest speakers will be Gene Weldon and Diane Nemecek of Folds of Honor Foundation. There will be a 50/50 drawing and some great food compliments of Sticky Fingers.

The Scramble

The Patriot Golf Day 100 Hole Challenge Scramble will be held Saturday September 3, 2016 at The Pearl Golf Links in Calabash, NC.  The schedule begins with registration and breakfast at 8 AM. There will be a Color Guard send-off to begin the tournament shortly thereafter. Players can sign up by calling the pro shops at Crow Creek, Rivers Edge, Sandpiper Bay, and the Pearl. Entry fee will be $100 per player and will include dinner at the Gala, golf at The Pearl, and a special rate for a round on Sunday at Rivers Edge. How do you spell value? Holy cow! What a deal.

100 Hole Challenge

For 2016 the Myrtle  Beach PGA Patriots have chosen to return to the 100 hole format. We’re pretty sure it took several of them a few weeks to recover from the 200 holes. The chiropractors were the victors. To raise $64000+ in 100 holes their going to have to be on their collective games. The birdies will be dropping for sure. Make plans to attend the event. The back porch at Rivers Edge Golf Course and the amazing food, drinks, and service by the staff along with cheering on the Patriots will make for a great way to spend your Sunday.
